For about a month now, I've been reading through the list of Hamburger spots from A-Z on Wikipedia. I'm currently on J. What I've found interesting was the burger spots that aren't really known and that have been around for so many years, seem to be the best burger spots to visit. Personally, I was tired of Wendy's being my go to spot if I wanted a burger.I know once I get to Z, I will come across Zac's Hamburgers. HANDS DOWN THE BEST BURGER I'VE EVER TASTED. First time I got it was through DoorDash (was good, but wasn't as good as it would have been ordering it in person). The second time (just one month later) I was able to stop in at one of their locations and ordered 2 double cheese burg...
Mediocre. Ordered a 5 10 PC wings, crabcake sandwich, fries, burgers shakes . They put all 15 wings in 1 plate. Why, I don't understand when they were ordered separately for 2 different people. We ordered them with ranch. Ranch was written on the print out, they still gave us Bleu cheese. Burgers were small. Crabcake was so hard on the outside and so mushy on the inside. Terrible, just terrible. The shakes were another thing. They don't use the ice cream of the flavor you order. Be aware they use vanilla ice cream and syrup... The strawberry chocolate I ordered had absolutely no taste, which was odd since it was their flavor of the month. Waste of $83 to say the least. Would not return.
Right off the bat I want to be very clear: THE DOUBLE BACON CHEESEBURGER IS THE BEST! We also ordered a crab Cake sandwich that comes with tartar and lettuce. It was too herb-y and fall apart for us. The sauce is not a good match. We also got a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich. The meat was very tasty but very very thin, and the sauce was just a few teaspoons of generic hot sauce. Took about 11:21M to get our food. Customer service was very good and certainly not an issue there. All in all go for the incredible old school, just right amount of beefy flavors with excellent, fresh toppings and a superbly toasted burger.
Gotta say, for $25 this is hard to beat. Could easily have spent that on Wendy's and regretted it afterwards. I see the negative reviews I acknowledge them. However, when I visited tonight I experienced a clean restaurant and a very kind and hospitable staff. My family had a great time. Fries were perfect. Burgers were juicy and seem to actually be beef (unlike a lot of burger joints that sell primarily soy burgers. I see you shake shack). $25 I fed a family of 4 and it was good. Zacs came through. I ordered the bacon double cheeseburger and spicy fries, because I had not gone to zac in one because. our meal was well prepared and the milk shakes here are really excellent. the restroom was one of the cleanest almost food restrooms I've ever used. we often drive from five points in aston, but only rarely when they are open, so we will surely return soon.
I work for an ice cream truck, and the zacs truck was at our event. They came up and gave me a free order of french fries and tenders, which were absolutely delicious. The staff from what i’ve seen is extremely nice. Definitely would recommend to others. I’m not a huge fan of tenders either, but i can eat those plain and enjoy them.
The food is good but like most places they don't have enough people working. 22 minutes to get a cheeseburger and fries and the spicy fries literally had one shake of spice flavoring that you can enjoy on 8 fries but the rest are just plain. Kinda disappointing for $4.24
it's a small place, but it's just the best Burger-Gleich in delco. the burgers are especially for the price the best notch, they cannot beat it. The pommes are also damn good if you haven't been here yet, you have to go. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
very clean place and the service I noticed that people were very curious and friendly and the hamburger fantastic that I go back to the right burger in the city. You really have to go there. food: 5/5
