If I get a hook, I'm just not gonna be denied. Recently I got a sushi gift. But my usual joint was closed. So I decided to try a new place. Sushi was really good. Although it wasn't about the kani (similar crabs/sea sticks) they use. Dunno, was just not interested in the taste. Unlike what I'm used to, it's all. Even the Gyoza was not as sharp as I prefer. There is no Teppanyaki here, but they prepare hot dishes such as Terriyaki, etc. Service was good. No complaints. My gold standard for Japanese restaurants is always whether they offer natto. I learned to love Natto on rice or in a Makimono roll by my former mother in law. If a joint has natto, you know it must be legitimate. Unfortunately...
Kome Sushi is a beautiful place to eat, my daughter's favorite, and I also enjoy it. The location is relatively small and somewhat hidden in a not remarkable shopping mall. Kome Sushi is a peaceful place to dive. You have a good selection of sushi. If you do not enjoy raw parts, about half of the menu contains elements for you. The service is fast and friendly. Sushi is great! I would suggest to the owners that they do not use the main dining room as storage room by either maintaining a lower level or parking a trailer on the back. I recommend Kome Sushi.
I love this place so much, it's unrealistic! It is so hard to find my favorite role — Kome Sushi is the NUR place in the KC area that seems to have it, and fortunately they are only 10 minutes away! The service is always over and over amazing, the food is to die, and the price is amazing! Such a wonderful little hidden jewel and my new favorite restaurant, hands down!
I always love ordering take out from Kome Sushi! Every roll is fresh and full of flavor. They don't overuse sauces, but put just the right amount to make it tasty. They also don't add too much rice. I was promptly greeted at the door with friendly service! This was my first time in. I went for pan fried dumplings and a side of rice. Everything came out perfect! I loved every bite down to the last grain of rice. I’ll definitely be going back for more.
I had the best sushi in Kansas City! We were looking for a place nearby, and this restaurant appeared. Based on reviews we chose it and we were not disappointed!
The food is very good!! The waiters are not all the knowledge, but the cook makes some very good roles and there is good variety in their sushi and sashimi.
