I don't bother with the more expensive fish and chips in Fremantle these days unless we have visitors, as I just get my fish and chips from Zedz instead. I had three kids to feed and I just get them the kids fish and chips for $5 (I think this has gone up recently to $5.50 or so). This is great value, as the fish is quite large, and in fact it's big enough for an adult. The only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of five is because the chips could be better if they used a different brand. The ones they use tend to be a bit powdery, but for the price, I can't complain. Would I rather pay $60 for better chips? Probably not. The staff are efficient and friendly, although it can get busy on Fridays. I recommend calling ahead to place your order, as it can take 20-30 minutes on busy nights.
We have tried the fish and chips at this restaurant three times since they reopened. It is excellent value and the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. We tried the fish grilled and battered, and both were delicious.
