I have now eaten at Zenobia several times in a family situation 12 people.I have also never had to pay, this being said I can still evaluate this restaurant.It is a well set out restaurant in that Mediterranean style and not with crowded seating.At one time we requested for the music to be lowered just a little as conversation was at a screaming level and that was for all tables nothing was done about it.The wait staff leave a lot to be desired they where slow with drinks and the food was sometime arriving and when it did 1 waiter wasn't even sure where to place the platter and when another waiter was helping they crossed the platters and nearly spilt them on us a piece of food actually drop...
I have tasted some great traditional Lebanese cuisine, including in Lebanon, but Zenobia's has to be some of the best Levantine food I have ever tasted. After a Turkish delight cocktail to start the evening, we tried the baba ganouj, as an entree. Garnished with pomegranate this was a light, delicate version of an old favourite. For mains we had chicken shawarma and the cousa with goat's yoghurt. While the chicken was delicious, served with salad and chips, the cousa was nothing short of sublime. Food was ok but as mentioned in other reviews some of the meat was dry. Salads very soggy and salty. Overall it was average. The music came on at about 7.30 pm and was so loud you could not have a conversation. Did complain as did other diners but nothing was done. At 8pm the belly dancer came on first for a private show to one table and then back again for the rest of the patrons. We quickly paid our bill and went next door for coffee and dessert! No wonder the restaurant wasn't fully booked and you could see people getting up and leaving. Opt for the banquet to really enjoy a sampler of everything. Joanne and her team always make the freshest Lebanese and best. I'm Lebanese myself and would say that I've been here for so many years and nothing has beer been as consistently good and fresh. The highest quality meats on the grill and the dips are all authentic. I know what is homemade and fresh. Will be back and will always recommend.

They say never set your expectations high as disappointment will be greater.Whilst the food was fabulous the service detracted from the evening and we left full but deflated. The staff were working over each other or ignoring you and so confusion and problems arose.Duplicated drinks orders then 45 minute wait for the mains to arrive was not ideal.
They say you can judge the quality of food at a Lebanese restaurant by the taste of their hummus. At this restaurant, it is exceptional. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They also offered an excellent selection of Arak, which is rare to find in Sydney. I'm not sure about the prices as a friend covered the bill.
The drinks took 40 minutes to arrive and the entrees were served 30 minutes later. When we complained to the manager, she swore at us and told us not to return. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant. This experience does not even deserve 1 star.
I recently held a party for 50 at this restaurant including for children. The staff and owner were helpful and obliging, and the food was if high quality and in generous serves. The fattoush was particularly good. I wouldn't hesitate to party at Zenobia again.

We had a wonderful family dinner at this restaurant, with deliciously crispy fried Whiting, flavorful Kafta Kebabs, a selection of pickles, and a variety of tasty sides. The food was very fresh and the service was great. We would definitely dine here again.
