Zeytoon has recently reopened with a new menu and a complete redesign of their restaurant. The staff is very well-informed about which items are vegan or can be made vegan. The food is delicious and fresh, making it the best Mediterranean cuisine I have ever tried in Orange County. Some of the vegan options that are particularly tasty include dolmas, hummus, babaganoush, muhummara, tabbouleh, marinated olives, lentil soup, falafel, salads (without cheese or meat), Moroccan carrots (without feta), maneesh flatbread (other pizzas can be made vegan without cheese or meat), falafel pita, and crudite (without ranch dressing). I tried the falafel wrap at this restaurant and found it to be a bit expensive for the portion size. The menu mainly consists of Middle Eastern cuisine and there are limited options. While the food was labeled as vegetarian, I had to inquire about which items were vegan.
