Zippys is open for dining and they have excellent covid procedures. The host opens the door, and if there isn wait they take down your cell and will text you when your table is ready. As is with many places, you sanitize your hands before entering. Not all tables are occupied intentionally. Menu is a piece of paper, not reusable menus like before. So no pretty pictures. But that's okay. Food is still 100% the same as before. Reliable, tasty and satisfying for a reasonable price and a smile. We had won ton noodle soup and saimin with a side of teriyaki beef and a mini loco moco. All good.
It's the only Zippy's on the Big Island, so if you're looking for a beloved local spot, definitely check it out. The staff is incredibly friendly, and there’s a wide range of options on the menu. There's truly something for everyone, and the prices are reasonable, making for a fun dining experience. It can get quite busy, so be sure to bring a friend to enjoy it with!
My husband and I absolutely love Zippy's! The employees provide fantastic customer service, which is so important in the hospitality industry. Sometimes, it's best to visit on certain days and times to avoid long lines. However, they do take down your name and phone number, like many other guests, so they can call you when your table is ready.
