Maitra D seemed like he couldn't give two hoots, wasn't interested in our open table reservation, he didn't seem to be tracking them. He put our table of 5 at the back of the restaurant and wasn't helpful when we wanted to move. Despite there being better tables available. We settled with what we were offered as we're hungry (family). Our waiter was better, which balanced the service. Food was good. Delivered hot, service a little slow but not the waiters fault. Seemed understaffed. Kitchen staff (we were next to them) were unprofessional and talking quite loudly about how they would like to date (for want of a better word) one of the waiters sisters. The meal was good. We got there at 7 and by 9 we still hadn't had our main course however, we were given a free drink. But the main complaint was I booked a table for 4 through Opentable, they sent a confirmation email straight away and then a reminder the day before our booking and, then, when we got there, they didn't have our reservation! Luckily for us they could accommodate us but I would have been pretty annoyed if they had been too busy to. Next time I will print off the confirmation, but if they were full there wouldn't be much you could do about it! Not impressed with Opentable
Zizzi restaurants are always a reliable and 'safe bet '. I dined at the Chichester branch and found it good on all counts food, service, price etc. Recommend

zizzi is my fave English chain. the vegan options are diverse and all very delicious! one of the better Italian food chains if this is your type.
We tend to use Prezzo and Ask all over the South and, to be frank, don't find a lot of difference.
