We had heard that this was one of the best German food places in PDX and drove across town to try it. First off, parking was a little tough due to construction. Hopefully that will improve soon. The service was great and the tables were clean. I like the food court kinda vibe with multiple vendors located around the space. I ordered the jaegerschnitzel. It was not breaded, very thin and a little tough and overcooked. The sauce was really good though. The potato salad just tasted of mustard and the rotkraut had an odd flavor that I couldn 't really identify. Pretzel was fresh and soft. The mustard has quite a kick. Zoiglhaus is a great spot for a meal and drinks! They brew their own beer, offering fresh and unique flavors. The venue is clean, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making you feel somewhat like you're at home—if your living room were filled with a variety of beers, other beverages, and a crowd of unfamiliar faces! It looks like they're expanding, which is a good sign that business is thriving. My only complaint is that the delicious beer brewed on-site is a bit pricey, though it’s nearly worth it. On the other hand, their food is reasonably priced. It has been a while since my last visit, but the staff have always been friendly.
The restaurant has recently undergone a transformation and is now called The Zed. It continues to brew and serve Zoiglhaus beer, but has introduced individual food pods and a cocktail lounge. They are still in the process of expanding, and the Lents Farmer's Market will be located inside the venue, complete with garage doors that can be opened during nice weather. Overall, it's a fantastic concept, and the food is delicious—especially the offerings from Sherpa Kitchen!
First time coming here the boot was 2Liters way bigger then I thought, it won this time, the fish n chips were really good the cod tasted fresh the fries that came with it were amazing love thin crispy Fries! The fried pickles were decent just don’t like speared fried pickles too much. My girlfriend ordered the chicken salad with the IPA ranch the salad wasn’t bad she just didn’t like the taste of the chicken almost like it had been sitting out for a while. This restaurant offers fantastic food in a laid-back atmosphere. The dishes are excellent, perhaps almost too generous in portion sizes. It's a wonderful spot for a date or just hanging out with friends. Just make sure you're aware of the location change—it seems to have moved to the other end of the block.
This charming little restaurant offers a diverse menu with a range of delicious food options. Don't forget to admire the artwork displayed on the wall of the larger dining area and on the silos outside. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!
The German-style beers here are excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable too. With the addition of more food options on-site, it's a fantastic spot for gathering with friends. Food rating: 4/5.

Staff were so friendly and accommodating. The limited menu was perfect especially with more food options at the attached food carts. Don ' 't miss out on the German beer with a pretzel.Food: 5/5
