I've lived in many places in the UK being in construction. I eat a lot of Indian food, so I feel I'm well placed to pass judgement having eaten curry in I would guess over 100 restaurants and take aways. Can I just say Zyka is the best, there was only one who can compete but would probably loose the competition in the best indian I've ever had. I have tried many dishes over the years and never had a bad one, from starters to desserts and everything in between Zyka is exceptional, which is why it is the only curry house I ever use now in the Reading area. I've never been in for a meal but I hope to some day. Great work guys, you clearly have a passion for food, it shows. Thanks for continuing...
A few of us, 20 in total, chose to go to Zyka for our Christmas/charity fund raising dinner. We booked in advance so they were prepared for us. Everything was very well organised, we had plenty of time to chat and place our food orders. The food came out in batches so it was fresh and hot. My chicken naga was perfect. As far as I could tell everyone had what they ordered. This is a bring your own alcoholic drinks restaurant which is perfect for me, Zyka supplied all the glasses, disposed of the empties etc. A great night out and a highly recommend restaurant.
Amazing restaurant I would recommend to my circle every day. Didn’t expect to find such a place in Tilehurst/Reading. I went for something simple (tandoori smashed burger) and I was very impressed. I’m not a chicken burger person but so would come back for this one as the experience were totally new. Definitely value for money this place. I will Come back. We heard about the food and it was good comparing what you find in Reading. We tried their Papdoms 6/10 Chutney platter 6/10 Bbq stater platter 6/10 Vegetable Balti 6/10 Nan 10/10 Food was good but only disappointment that everything seemed to be cooked in their red sauce. We visted Zyka this evening as a family and what can we say, amazing atmosphere with the new decor! Outstanding food with new items on the menu and the service comes with a smile. A great authentic family run resturant. We visited Zyka with my daughter and her husband. We had a fabulous meal delicious and so tasty. The stand out for me was the chicken murg haryali it was so different not too hot but beautifully spiced. Great atmosphere and lovely staff . If you are in Tilehurst highly recommend visiting this lovely restaurant.
