"Visited for weekday lunch. Chose three course plat du jour. Choice of two starters (ham and goats cheese quiche or a chicken innards dish) Main of chicken stuffed with chorizzo, served either with frites or boiled potatoes and green beans. Multitude of choices for dessert...(we had a pear tart, a creme brulee and a marscapone and exotic fruit concoction all were delicious). With three beers and one coffee the bill was less than euros. It was a beautiful sunny day and so we ate on the front terrace. One member of staff spoke very good English, much better than our French, but all the staff attempted to communicate with good humour. Well worth a stop if you're in Clisson for the Friday market or to visit the castle. This is a locals eaterie, but although it is not set up to cater for tourists we were warmly welcomed and very well fed!"
