Was going to try out this high rated cafe with my dog as there is a courtyard side which doggie is allowed to be in (dog friendly). I got told to sit at a table and i was waiting for someone to at least bring me a menu? Sat there for 5minutes staffs kept waking by but no one bothered to ask. So i then asked a staff who was walking by if i could place an order with her as i already know what i wanted. The response i got from her is that i have to order at the counter myself. Then i told her i am only here by myself with my dog. Is there anyway she could place an order in for me as she already told me dog is not allowed to be inside the area where the counter is (totally fair enough and i unde...
Ambiance: 5.5 10 Stark is the first impression and bright! Cripes, is it BRIGHT!! One feels like you’re in a fish bowl on display. We were there for dins and thought it was day. Loud too, even though there weren’t many fellow diners. It’s a small room and everyone can hear everyone (WOW, someone at the next table was talking about their affair). We thought acoustics would be disastrous if it was better patronised and word on the grape vine is that this place has re-established itself from a café to an upmarket Italian restaurant so, when full it would be more like a cafeteria cacophony. This is a fantastic spot to gather with friends for breakfast, and the coffee is excellent. We had a lovely group enjoying our meal together, but there were a couple of issues with our orders. Two dishes were incorrect; we sent one back, while we chose to keep the other. The hollandaise sauce was undercooked and resembled watery consistency, which the chef should have easily noticed when plating. I didn’t even touch mine, and my brother tried the breakfast burger but immediately regretted it. It seems like the little details were overlooked. Aside from that, it's a wonderful place, and we look forward to coming back for breakfast again!
the service was good, but the takeaway coffee and mocha my partner and I had bad quality. the big coffee was in the ground warm milk and was much too hot to keep in the tassen they use, and the mocha seemed very watery? the door to the shop is also really hard to go when they hold two hot coffees and they need to pull the door to them. for lunch. place was busy, but we were welcomed as soon as we entered. the employees were friendly and efficient and have clarified our table in time. eating was of a high standard and inexpensive. Do not forget to check the Specials list, we had a meal from this and the regular menu. No comment to wee as we don't order. overall I was satisfied with the experience and will go back.
Just moved to Blackwood, driving around looking for a decent coffee breakfast.So thankyou all at the 1923 coffee in Blackwood.Had vegetarian breakfast with a coffee.Will be back again to try the other breakfast yummies.Coffee an actual flat white no foam; thankyou, and a huge breakfast, in my personal opinion excellent, didn't need the hash brown, very filling healthy.5 stars.
Every time we visit, the food is always exceptional. Generally, they serve breakfast (the vegan breakfast is excellent), but today I tried the mushroom bruschetta and it was fantastic. The coffee is also delightful—my go-to is the soy latte. I highly recommend this place!
Great breakfast! This is a smaller café that can get quite busy, but the food is delicious, and there are lovely seating areas available. I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed the meals! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
