I was staying in a hotel nearby so I discovered the 2nd Street Cafe on Google and decided to give it a try. The couple taking orders couldn't be nicer and the Hungry Man sandwich is hard to describe... it's really good! I could swear the chef got all the ingredients he had in the kitchen inside it. It was very hard to eat the rest of the day because it was too much food. Prices were fair (specially considering the enormous amount of food you get) and they have a nice atmosphere. The pictures I've added don't show how good it was, but I definitely recommend having breakfast or lunch there.
This is a very nice, quaint coffee shop very close to Concordia University, Loyola Campus. Their breakfast menu is somewhat limited but they do carry a good assortment of muffins, cakes, and other treats. Prices are affordable and typical of the type of establishment. There is free WiFi, electrical outlets and a high desk for laptops. Service is very good! There is also outdoor seating and a bathroom. Perhaps their biggest selling point is their hot and cold beverages!!!. Their assorted is bound to please everyone!!! We will be certainly coming back!
Rude. I arrived at 7:02 am, the door was unlocked, so I assumed they were open. 30 seconds later a woman entered owner or worker), didn’t say hello or good morning, and lectured me for coming in when noone was there. I politely said I didn’t realize noone was there, and she cut me off saying “I assume you would know it’s not okay enter if noone was here.”. I turned around and left- lost a customer. Too bad because the food is probably good, but terribly impolite and rude.
Every sandwich has been so delicious, and they don’t skimp on the protein. Every sandwich is a very filling, really tasty, and such an amazing price. Some of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time! I keep going back. I’ve tried the chicken pesto, Italian, chicken melt, tuna melt and the cubano, and nothing has disappointed.

Would be five stars all day if they had american cheese, I don't eat swiss cheddar or provolone, You don't have American cheese, I can't eat any of your food cheese would be on, I need american cheese on everything that includes Tuna melts, breakfast sandwiches and all eggs ....
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the bread they use resembles foam rubber. If you’re willing to spend an extra dollar, I recommend opting for Iggy's or a similar option. It would greatly improve the overall experience.
Said call me when the order is ready but never did. Waited for 15 minutes for a breakfast sandwich till I asked. Worst customer service ever. Flies all over the place. Disgusting.
Breakfast sandwich with bacon and avocado and homemade hot sauce on the side. Cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious.

cute little cafe. went for breakfast. It's small, only a few tables but the food is good. Get the pancakes!
