Today for lunch my friends and I from work decided to check out 317 Main Street . It's a huge place located in the heart of Farmingdale town. From the moment we walked in I was genuinely impressed with the restaurant. We arrived at 11:45 and were promptly met at the door by the hostess who explained they don't serve until 12:00. She would be more than happy to put us at a table but just wanted to give us a heads up. My friend Frank had been there a few times and said while we wait we might as well go check out the marketplace. I had this place hyped up to me for a long time before I finally pulled the trigger, and boy am I glad I did. A wide variety of not just cocktails but beers that you can get both on tap or by the can, I opted for the Founders cinnamon vanilla stout, which I highly recommend. I went with the BBQ brisket grilled cheese, and I was not disappointed, perfectly delicious, albeit a little messy, and the fries were the thick cut variety done to perfection. Honestly though, just from having a look around I think you could toss a dart blindfolded and wind up with something delicious. They have weekly specials every week that also sounded delicious, so keep your eyes peeled for those too. Ended it off...
Made reservations for 4 on a recommendation from acquaintance. Only about 60% of the tables were occupied, and yet the noise level was quite high. The 4 us could hardly hear each other w/o yelling. The food was presented in unique ways. 2 friends were very happy; 1 didn't like her salad chopped up with the dressing already mixed in she only ate 1/2 of it); my vegan ramen came in quite a large bowl I could only eat half as I already had an appetizer) but it was quite salty. It would have been better with very little salt. I did take the other half home and will make some adjustments. If I were to return would definitely order differently.
Honestly, there?s not too many restaurants to eat at that the food, establishment staff are this great. Always a good meal and the staff there are both nice and fun. I?ve been regularly going here for a few years now. Chef Eric greets everyone to say hello and check on your dining experience all the time. He?s super focused on everyone?s positive experience. And should you have an issue? They are eager to make it right. Brunch is awesome too. Great spot for families, couples and your friends. Advertisement was misdirecting....it read $25 brunch unlimited drinks..we thought it was $25 for brunch ...when we got the bill we were shocked...$200 for brunch...3 people... we explained to the owner and he had a too bad attitude...unacceptable... Re-write your ad...and he could have done something to satisfy us...free coffees, etc...will never go there and will spread to everyone....
I'm torn between 3.5-4 star. Service is excellent, flavor and texture of food is great but it was just too salty. The slow cooked short ribs was cooked perfectly, but again what ruined it was level of salt. Maybe it's just my taste though.
Everything was incredible! Our server was amazing! Drinks were great, apps were great, dumplings and burrata, as were the main courses. I had the grilled cheese cuban and it was Awesome!
