465 The Avenue is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it as it's set back from the main road. The restaurant was quiet when I stopped by for an early breakfast. Spotted baked eggs on the menu so it was a no-brainer. The eggs were cooked in a thick tomato and onion sauce, served in a small cast iron pan. It also came with two slices of toast which I used to mop up the tasty sauce. The eggs were cooked through which some people prefer; I'd ask for runny eggs next time personally. They also make a decent cup of coffee and I was tempted to get another. Great service from the servers who were super friendly with the right level of attentiveness. Had a work function here on a weeknight. Absolutely loved the decor and ambience. Little gem in Chatswood this place is. A few things though, the tables were a little uneven which made it uncomfortable for those who were sitting at the join. The waitress we had kept coming over to take orders when we had told her that we were still waiting on people a few times. It made us feel like they just wanted us to put our orders in so that they could get us out sooner too. The salmon and feta fish was amazing! The cheese board was average. All in all a great dining experience. Will definitely go back!
the avenue is a breathtaking place as soon as they are here, they notice it especially in the night. the lights sparkle and the quirky layout has immediate charm. this place is a bar and restaurant with separate areas for each and a series of rooms that are well used. we were there for dinners that hunt tapas, although they have a greater variety than that.
great drink selection. there are two seperate sections; one for a bar and one for the restaurant. we enjoyed the garden ambiente the bar and order also to enjoy a few entrees with the cocktails. presentation of cocktails could be better, but they tasted good.
