I've been looking for middle eastern/mediterranean food in the city. We decided to go to 786 Shawarma Donair based on the reviews. I won't be back. I ordered the falafel plate to go, which was put in a styrofoam container and then put in the microwave. The sauce options were not authentic (Frank's Red Hot, Sriracha, sweet chili sauce etc). Salad options were for the sandwiches (lettuce, pickles, black olive) I would have loved some tabouleh or something of the like. The falafel was terrible and it tasted like it had sat around awhile.Also, it didn't look very clean, the service was basically non existent.
My husband and I love middle eastern food and was in Saskatoon for a few days with the in-laws. We looked online for some reviews and found this restaurant to be one of the best reviewed places. It did not disappoint. My father inlaw and I had the lamb platter and my husband and his mother had the chicken wrap. Soooooo tasty!! Portions are great!!! Very friendly owner!!! Sauces very fresh and veggies excellent also. Pickled turnip was awesome!! We will defiantly go again when in town.
Hands down the best in town. I've been to the others and this one is the best. Very large portions and delicious. The large donair is about the size of an NFL football. My regular is the large lamb donair with everything on it and I have never been disappointed by it. If you love donairs, this place is a must.
The only reason I didn't give five stars is because not only does this restaurant have Middle Eastern taste, it also features Middle Eastern temperatures! But the food, the service and the value are impeccable! Not to be missed, if you love shawarma! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Its a shawarma restaurant with great food, Large portions, and very welcoming staff. A very good experience all around, staff lets you taste the different meats to ensure you leave happy.
The Sharwarma is one of the best I have ever had. I always get the lamb and it is delicious. To top the meal off have a piece of Baklava. They are hard to pick from so get them all
This little neighborhood family owned and operated place has the best donair on the prairies. Fresh, well made and a huge portion. It's a bit of a "hole in the wall" but worth it.
