We were a little early for getting into our holiday rental so popped in here on the off chance of getting a table. It is always very popular due to the gorgeous view of the river. We were in luck! We were shown to a...great wee table just at the garden and under the canopy for shade. We were not wanting a full three courses, however the two menu de jour were fabulous value. We just opted for a main course each, I had pave steak and a mushroom omelette took my husband’s fancy both came beautifully presented and cooked to perfection!! We’ve been coming here for a few years, usually good Set lunch was not the best No choice of buffet to start, think it’s because of covid which is understandable This time it was poor, the staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing,...not sure if it’s changed hands, if so they need to talk to one another Staff were smoking while customers were still eating, not acceptable!!! Also a staff member was peeing outside!!! Did he wash his hands after??? Such a shame as it was one of our favourite restaurants, will not be going back Will not recommend to others
There are set menus ranging from to We chose the course menu and were surprised by the generous portion sizes. Although the terrasse appeared full, the service was pretty good. The food is well prepared and presented, although the duck...breast was rather tough. The setting by the river Dronne is great and the river gives natural cooling to the terrasse. Apart from the duck, everything was excellent. Will certainly return.
Went for supper on a Friday night out of season which is why the restaurant was quiet, The food was generally good if rather expensive but this was the evening when there is no menu du jour. We have been coming here for over years with different owners but sadly will not visit again. The food was average, the service poor and now all the mosquitoes are back in the evening. Not a good experience. A great shame after such...a great tradition of food and service.
We ate here when catching up with long lost friends who live nearby. The set menu and plat du jour a total winner for the price point. Buffet was tasty and plentiful and the pitchet wines just fine. Great value. Would recommend.
