This restaurant is absolutely delicious. The food is fun and perfect for sharing, and the drinks are carefully crafted and delicious. The decor is lively and the place is very clean. My only issue is that when we called ahead to see if they could accommodate children (we ended up bringing our 7 and 9 year olds but wouldn't normally bring them here), we were told they could make simple tacos or quesadillas for them. However, when we tried to order, our waiter seemed nervous and mentioned that the kitchen may refuse the order. It seems like this may be a common occurrence. Despite the initial hiccup, they made an exception and prepared a bean and cheese taco for my child. We ended up ordering...
If you want the best authentic Mexican food and drinks, this is the restaurant to go to. We have been going to Bien Trucha and Quiubo (sister restaurants) for the last eight years and recently removed to Glen Ellyn so now we are regulars at A Toda Madre. We visit every Tuesday night for drinks and dinner and you would think with such a small menu we would be tired of it by now but with the weekly specials and the staff recommendations there is always something new to try. Our waitress (Galexia) is excellent when it comes to explaining what's in each dish and recommending something new. She is extremely attentive and friendly. Tuesday is now our new favorite day of the week!
12/29/21 review It?s tough to find a place that can put everything together and have great service! This place DID THAT! Food was excellent and their options for cocktails was elite. We enjoyed their atmosphere and their excellent service. If you are Gf,like my wife is, then you will be happy because they have lots of options and pay attention to your diet needs. If there is onething I do wish, it would be a longer food menu. I love tacos and I love their sides, but I wish there were more yummyoptions. Pictured below is 4 tacos (beef, pork, fish, brisket), beer, and the atmosphere!
Well I don't leave reviews very much but let me say this. The table wasn't even level so my Mother got a drunk spilled on her lap our waitress was probably the worst I've seen for a 100 dollar tab that included 6 tacos one appetizer and 3 drinks. I have personally never asked for a check so fast and then my family had to go and order food after we left which was ridiculous. Also keep in mind the wait staff runs the bill has you sign and stands there in the most awkward experience that really shows everyone how stupid the experience is. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The restaurant had a cozy ambiance perfect for evening dining. The Margaritas were satisfying and well-made. The only downside was the portion sizes of the food. We ordered tacos and Flautas, but they only came in pairs. The guacamole portion also seemed quite small, like it was only a couple of tablespoons. If you have a big appetite, be prepared to order two or three servings.
I have been to this restaurant twice now, and the food was just as good as the first time - consistently delicious. However, I was disappointed to find that the tiled floor near the bar was extremely dirty. Additionally, when paying $7 for a canned beer, I expected to be served in a glass. Twice I was given a can and had to request a glass. This was quite frustrating.
We came in for lunch on a Saturday. We started with a delicious Paloma cocktail and the house guacamole appetizer, followed by a variety of tacos and street corn. We finished off the meal with a spicy Margherita. Everything tasted fantastic and the portion size was just right for the three of us.
everything was small, but also expensive. I would give it 3/5 stars, because eating was not terrible, but $13 for a very tiny margarita not sitting well with me. the Elote-Dip also tastes super fishing from some ground. not sure if I'm returning. but our server was wonderful. Our go-to spot for lunch or dinner in town is definitely this place. There's nothing better than biking around and enjoying some delicious tacos - they're top-notch!
