According to industry standards, refunds should be processed within 30 days of an event. However, this company imposes high cancellation fees for up to three months (90 days). We attempted to cancel our agreement within that timeframe, but the company was closed for two weeks during Passover. By the time they reopened, we had already exceeded the three-month limit for a refund.
We tried to be reasonable and only requested a partial refund, but Above and Beyond was unwilling to accommodate us. As a young couple funding our own wedding, losing $10,000 because they wouldn't answer the phone during Passover is incredibly frustrating.

Guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was the shmorg, dinner, and dessert were also so delicious and beautifully presented!! Jill also acted as a day of coordinator and everything was seamless. She worked calmly and professionally behind the scenes with all vendors to keep the day flowing. Above and beyond is the perfect name for Jill’s company because every guest and every other vendor raved how the caterer went above and beyond. We needed a kosher caterer for my daughter’s wedding in the Catskills (not easy to find). I found Jill online and went solely on the reviews. A month before the wedding my daughter moved back to the states after living in Jerusalem and we met Jill at the venue in rural upstate New York. Jill and her team were absolutely fantastic! Working with her was a true delight, and she assisted us with numerous aspects of the planning process while also being the best caterer we've ever had. We received countless compliments from our guests about the food. Jill catered our Shabbat dinner before the wedding, and everything was delicious. Jill gave me candid and constructive advice in the planning process and the results were very successful. Everyone said it was the best food they’ve had at a bar mitzvah luncheon (from the arugula and pear salad and tuna steak to sushi and ice cream sandwiches). Her team was also a pleasure to work with the day of. I’ll definitely work with them again in the future!
Jill and her team did the most incredible job for my daughter’s Simchat Bat. The food was absolutely incredible, the presentation was beautiful and the staff was very professional. Jill was a joy and easy to work with — very responsive and accommodating. Every single guest raved about it all. Multiple people even asked for her card for their own future events. I’ll never use another company besides Above and Beyond!

We had a veggie wedding (no meat but had fish) and everyone was raving about the food! I was nervous that people would feel like the meat was missing but everyone said it was the best wedding food they ever had! We had a whole slider station with impossible burgers, black bean burgers and portobello and it was a hit! The wasabi salmon as a main people can’t stop talking about
