I wanted to love this place so much! Inexplicably the lady owner seems generally disinterested to engage diners; no welcome at all on arrival magically her attention piqued at bill time manning a credit card machine that you're told to get up from your...table and walk to through several empty dining rooms to pay at the bar! Why? Whilst the setting is idyllic with the promise of lovely food the plating is lazy and messy, a big no no though was the bloodline in the white tuna carpaccio which was not excised. (See picture) it was also way overdressed almost soaking. Irrespective of which main course you choose, the veggie garnish replicates on every dish..and is cold! The most bothersome eleme...
decided not to eat here on Sunday night, as the menu 25.50 € rises annoyingly to 28 €. So went to pizzeria in st macaire. we waited and waited. until we are served in the pizzeria that we have abandoned and covered. to l’abricotier. our annoyingness was soon convinced, charming meal, charming environment, service professional, friendly, good time. our dog took happily and gave water, and when it began to rain, additional cannons were torn at place and place. 3 cursor meal (not pizza) in the pizzeria is €25. 3 cursor meal at l’abricotier ... €25,50 (except Sunday) not a brain!
We had dinner outside in the back yard, where probably most people had chosen to eat, in a rather warm evening in May. The setting was nice, but in particular the food was interesting and excellent. Professional service. Hotel rooms are available, and friends told...us that they have been very satisfied with them. We have read somewhere that the restaurant is located near the historic center of Saint-Macaire. This is not exactly true, rather it is very close to the main road, D1113. Private parking is available.
friends brought me to this wonderful restaurant on Saturday evening as tasty bites. they would reasonably be booked in advance because it was too busy, including catering for a small wedding party. they are known to the owners and were warmly welcomed. we sat until 9.30 clock outside and...hadow attentive, personalized service as well as tasty eating and wein. and the desserts were wonderful. if they want a contract, it will be hard to find better than that before.

We had lunch for 2 with their regular snails (excellent as always) and today's suggestion an interesting take on celery carbonara with pouched egg and black truffle, which was very good as well. The half pigeon that was today's special, was simply highest standard...cooking, worth a place in a starred restaurant. The desserts (sorbets and moelleux au chocolat with pears) were very good as well
we are going to this restaurant only once a year during the family visit. every time it's great. they are not stupid when they arrive in front of the building. if they are happy with the weather, then they enjoy the large garden and let them pamper. through the friendly service and fantastic eating to make reasonable trips.
From the outside this place does not look much but the setting of the garden at the back is perfect. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent and not all that expensive. I have added this to my (small) list of...restaurants to return to when I am in the area.
We arrived rather early and found ourselves alone in the restaurant so thought we had selected badly. Not at all. Soon filled up with French families and the reason was also soon obvious. Delightful food well presented, well cooked. A great place.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch. The staff and the atmosphere were pleasant. We were not rushed over our meal which was good as there were seven of us and we wanted to catch up on recent events.
what should I say? everything we have ordered was fantastic, a lot of aromen that are simply seamlessly connected to each other. I will have the photos for myself.
