My wife and I dined at this restaurant once, shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began, probably around the transition from summer to winter in 2021. We noticed that the waitstaff only wore face shields, which didn’t seem effective at preventing the spread of germs. They would take customers’ money, use the cash register, and then handle food without washing their hands afterward. I witnessed a woman touch her face and hair, then immediately go on to handle food. Seeing this, we decided to leave. Beyond the concerns of dining during COVID, the practice of touching one’s face or hair, handling money, and then touching food is simply unacceptable. It was quite off-putting. My husband and I are traveling and recently found ourselves in Newport, feeling tired and hungry. While options were limited, this restaurant caught our eye. The young woman at the counter was friendly and accommodating. When our pizza arrived at the table, it was piping hot. The manager even came out to check if we were satisfied with our meal, and we certainly were. The crust was perfectly balanced—not too thick and not too thin. The sauce was delicious, and the toppings were ample. If we lived here, we'd definitely be regular customers. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews from a few disgruntled individuals; this place truly deserves your business.
Multiple incredible experiences- incredibly convenient. You can drop off or wait while Bill works his magic. I 've had my '82 Silverado serviced, replacement parts, and today Bill resurrected my carpet wand. Always willing to try the least expensive options (fix it) first, find spare/replacement parts, and always ensures the new parts will keep my old girl picking up what my family leaves behind.
My fav in Newport, pizza always good, my fav is the hogue, but we all love the BBQ chicken pizza! I always ask for extra crispy, with details of mustard and small amt of mayo and never disappointed! Thanks NHOP!
