Despite these issues, we had a wonderful overall experience, largely thanks to the exceptionally friendly staff who welcomed us like family and made us feel right at home. It was heartwarming to see everyone so happy. However, I noticed a shift in the dynamics among the lovely waiting staff compared to the night before; they appeared a bit nervous, possibly due to the morning team. Additionally, the morning staff didn’t seem inclined to help when I inquired about my lost bracelet, which I had been told had been taken from the spa the day before. On a positive note, I adored the cat!
This was my second visit to Armathwaite Hall for afternoon tea, and just like the first time, I was thoroughly impressed. The food was entirely different from my initial experience, and even though it was still afternoon tea, there was no sense of complacency. All the traditional elements were present, but the creative and unique touches made it an exceptional dining experience. It truly offers fantastic value for money, and I can't wait for my third visit!
This was my second visit to the restaurant, Poorathwaite, and, like the first time, I left completely stuffed. The dining experience was quite different from my initial visit; even though it was the afternoon, the staff remained attentive and engaged. All the elements were in place, and the unique touches and imaginative dishes truly made it a delightful culinary adventure. The value for money is exceptional, and I can’t wait for my third visit!
Top service, everything the old fashioned way. Food presented for a king, with the correct taste for a queen. It was wonderful. Hickupped at the quantity of the food, but the quality was outstanding. I cannot comment on the bedrooms as I only visited the hotel for an afternoon coffee. However it is a beautiful buildings in amazing grounds and the views are wonderful. The main rooms are cosy and warm and inviting. I hope to return soon for a meal and would very much like to stay at some time in the future. Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet
Came here for an anniversary champagne afternoon tea. The best afternoon tea I've ever had! Amazing views looking over Bassenthwaite, and every element of the afternoon tea was delicious.
