Like most of the restaurants in central Lonsdale, Alberello is on the small side, but it's a charming space with a lot of character, nice and bright, and not too noisy for a conversation.Lots to choose from on the menu, and they have a great lunch option where you can get a smaller version of (almost) any pizza on the menu for something like $10, and can add soup for another $3. Our bowl of soup was substantial and very hearty. Both the pizza and the panini were tasty and generous. One of the owners served us and she was lovely. Really enjoyed our meal, and will be back to try the Noce pizza.
Ordered a take out. Web site is really slick. Even tells you how long before you can pick up. Got my pizza as promised in 20 minutes. The place is tiny, like maybe seating for 16. Anyway my pizza was ready. Got it home. Very nice all around. Good crust, generous toppings, thin crust. Nice flavours. Only downside is too much of the dough was around the edges so it was a bit thin in the middle causing the oil from the cheese to leak through to the box. I would definitely order from these folks again.
I heard of the restaurant through my son. A co-worker recommended it to him and we ordered take out pizza. The pizza was delicious. Tonight we ate in the restaurant. It is a small unassuming place--very clean and comfortable. We ordered pasta and a pizza. Both were excellent. The service was warm, attentive, and prompt. This is a family run business and the family seems lovely. We will definitely go back.
I have moved from North Van but visited Alberello for lunch yesterday with a business associate. It was simply wonderful. The service was great and I had forgotten how good the pizza is. The food was really bad. I ordered the Caesar salad that had dressing on it and by the time it got to my place it was super soggy. There were just chunks of toast meant to be croutons. The pizza was awful as well I could t even finish a slice.
This is one, if not the best, pizza place in North Vancouver. The crust is super thin and delicious. Get there early for dinner, the place is tiny. There are 2 booths and only 5 tables after, it's very cozy.
The food is delicious, the quality is top-notch, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
