The Albion Cafe is located behind the Tate Modern. This is a great find, it's both a shop selling an interesting selection of food and drink products (including Hampers and a lovely selection of baked goods) and a Cafe. On this visit I just ordered coffee and a piece of cake, but do plan to return to try more from the menu, as the coffee which came in a cute coffee pot was excellent and the Victoria sponge with it's delicious buttercream filling was just perfect, shop brought cake is never this good, it was like the very best of home baking. The service was also very efficient and professional, which I guess is no surprise as the Albion Cafe is part of the Conran Group.
