Alborz - Tisch resevieren

Strictly speaking the name Alborz refers to a mountain range in the north of Iran although I 'm told it is also a male name that means 'the highest one '. Not that any of that is relevant to a restaurant in Kensington. Probably the best thing this eatery has going for it is its location, situated as it is opposite the well known Olympia exhibition centre. I recently dined at this restaurant with a group of coworkers and was thoroughly impressed. Despite some recent negative reviews, I found the food to be fantastic and the service from the staff members, who I assume are the owners, to be very friendly. I particularly enjoyed the fact that it is BYO alcohol and the owners were accommodating when we went next door to grab a couple of bottles of wine. I really wanted to love all the food I got as we had traveled from Lewisham to get there. So was very disappointed on the mediocrity of food, despite the very kind woman (manager? All the food I had was so bland: the smoked aubergine and the Fesenjan. But big portions so good value for the price, I guess? We got boxes for takeaway. I visited this restaurant and ordered the minced lamb dish. I was pleased to see that the prices had not increased since before the lockdown. The kebab with rice was priced at £11, which is lower compared to most restaurants that charge £16. However, the kebabs were thinner and the bread, priced at £1.50, was smaller and less fluffy than usual. Despite these differences, you are saving around 40% on your meal. I do not think u can call this place a restaurant..and really I don’t know y they r still running this place as a persian cuisine.. Plz ,plz ,plz do not go there What a waste of money Tired furniture..dirty and dark ambiance,poor customer service and all in a great location... My food was burned and tasted like rubber,dry salad and all comes pricey... what a joke !!!!!!!

stay away from this place as it is stinky, not clean and old interior. Food quality is not worth the money
