Our first visit to this delightful family run restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. We visited in the evening and were able to park right outside. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience. The staff were very welcoming and service throughout was very attentive without being intrusive. The menu offers a wide choice and we each selected 3 different steak cuts which were well cooked to our request. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. A nice touch was to add a lighted candle to my wife's dessert and orchestrate a chorus of happy birthday. The steaks were good, but as a non-meat eater, my experience was lacking. There were only three pasta options on the menu, and no Parmesan available. Non-meat eaters could use more variety. It would be nice to see grilled fish on the menu so that all the sides and sauces could be enjoyed. We also noticed a decline in presentation - the dishes were no longer served in wire baskets, and the steak experience for two was served on a plain white plate. While wooden boards couldn't be used, it looked a bit unimpressive. The service was friendly and efficient, and we were able to dine without booking in advance, which we appreciated. Next time, I might leave the steak lovers to enjoy their meal.
We stopped by for lunch today. Food was delicious. We started with chorizo which set the scene for a good meal ahead. The steak was extremely high quality and cooked perfectly. Steak ciabatta was huge. Lager from Buenos Aires was also v nice. We have eaten here on the full A La Carte as well and the restaurant is perfect for either. V friendly and efficient service from the waiter and the owner moved between cooking and serving too. Highly recommended and steak better than that well known Argentinian chain! Do visit.
My husband and I decided to come here for lunch, but we didn't realize that they close at 3pm on Sundays. We arrived just 10 minutes before closing, but thanks to the waiter Chris, we were able to have a very private dining experience as we were the only ones in the restaurant. We enjoyed our lunch, especially the steak which was cooked perfectly by the kitchen staff. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

Consistently excellent food and great service. Their lunchtime set menu with rump steak is absolutely fantastic value. The steaks are inline with the very best i've eaten worldwide. This really is a hidden gem in East Sheen and highly recommended. Whether you're eating at lunchtime or in the evening the service is always friendly and fast. A really superb no frills steakhouse.
Amazing place. Food was great we had the mixed steak for three the best steak ever. I had the burger tasty especially the addition of s fried egg. Chris was great. Professional and helpful when choosing our meal. Would recommend to everyone.
Had a lovely time at La Plata for Sunday lunch with the family. Chorizo and Calamari starters were stunning and the steaks fries mains were really good! Service was outstanding
The food and service were excellent at this restaurant. The steaks were delicious, as was the feta salad. This was my first time dining here, but I will definitely be back.
