We went to the good reviews and were a little disappointed. You need to book in the market night (weds otherwise you will not get a table. They're sitting at 7:00 and 9:00. Our waitress was very preoccupied and not particularly friendly. She didn't tell us on the menu and gave us the feeling of being hastened and an inconvenience when they get their attention for more drinks. The menu is in Spanish and French, so we needed a little help to understand some of the dishes we could not translate, but that was not before. Our waitress just seemed a little irritated with us! From what I understand, this is a relatively new restaurant operated by a novice restaurateur. The place was empty when we arrived, we were thirsting for some delicious Laungdouk rose so we decided to stop in. Every table but two were reserved as indicated by the white scraps of paper with client names written. We were seated at a table for 2 without a reservation taped to the table. Everything was going fine until we ordered our 2nd class of wine. Once the wine arrived, a reservation was taped to our table and some words murmured that we didn't understand. We were miffed. My wife and I have been coming to Sommières since 2008 and we have been spending a lot more time here since last April. Since June, whenever in Sommières, we have spent an evening a week in ALEGRIA Bistro Bodega – we have always been very welcome. My French can best be described as "passable". The pair that leads the Bodega was always very helpful. To “Mark P”, which published an earlier review, I would ask you, Alegria and I guarantee that you will be welcomed and have a good evening. Fantastic food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sommières. The eggplant with honey was particularly delicious, like the crispy shrimps.
