My husband and I absolutely love Alla Vita. It’s our go-to place for olive, sesame, and nut oils, as well as flavored vinegars. Their lunches are frequently vegan-friendly and always delicious. They are very accommodating; when I request additions like hummus, chickpeas, and roasted vegetables to enhance my fresh salad and turn it into a meal, they gladly oblige. We also picked up a container of white bean dip from their refrigerated section of greens and prepared foods, and it was fantastic! They have recently expanded the beautiful interior, adding more tables for dining and socializing, which we look forward to enjoying once we feel comfortable unmasking in public places again.
Ordered a head of time so I would not have to wait. They indicated it would be fifteen minutes(15). Which was fine. Arrived, had to wait. Finally got my salad. Paid and went home. Opened my salad container. VERY disappointed. Hardly any chicken(3 very small pieces, no walnuts and just a dash of blue cheese crumbles. Soooo I called. Spoke to a woman who said they had a bad morning, their food delivery truck never showed up, so they had to scale back on putting items in the salad.My question? Why sell the salads full price and not tell the customer. I would have chosen something else! Instead of being very disappointed to say the least!
Alla Vita offers some of the best sandwiches, paninis, and salads in Montpelier. With a rotating weekly menu, there’s always something new and tasty to sample. The ingredients are fresh and sourced locally. The staff is consistently friendly and courteous, making it one of the top lunch destinations in Montpelier! Additionally, they have a great selection of premium olive oils, balsamic vinegar, wines, and local Vermont gifts and products. It's a charming little shop that I highly recommend.
This is a great olive oil and balsamic vinegar shop. You can sample the different oils and balsamic vinegars and if you are lucky enough to be there between 11-2 you can grab a delicious bistro lunch. We stopped here since it was recommended by a local. We had passed it thinking they only sold olive oil but we were so wrong. We had turkey and caprese paninis which were excellent! They don't offer a large selection of salads or sandwiches but if the salads are as good as the sandwich definitely give this place a chance.
I cannot express enough how delicious their lunch varieties are! I love that you can make alterations upon request and the menu changes weekly! The selection of wine is outstanding. I was even able to purchase certain wines from Australia that are so hard to find with some help of the owner.100% recommend!
We first walked right by what we thought was an oil and vinegar shop. When a local saw us looking for lunch he steered us to Alla Vita. Limited lunch menu of salads and sandwiches but what they do have is excellent and changes everyday. Inviting space, friendly staff, great food.
