"Average food in bar, very pricey , part of a hotel so takes advantage of lazy travelers not wanting to go out."

I was lucky enough to attend the media launch of the Intercontinental’s new pre theatre dining and receive a sneak preview of the menu. This was even more special to me because I am a huge Harry Potter fan and the menu is themed for the Cursed Child play that has just opened in Melbourne.<br/ <br/ For $56 you get main, dessert, coffee and chocolates. The main is a smoked beef striploin from under a theatrical cloche served with vine tomatoes and baby heirloom carrots. Delicious but dessert was my favourite. A lemon treacle tart served with a spectacularly refreshing sorbet. <br/ <br/ This is encased in a dark chocolate orb which melts to reveal the tart as your drizzle the sauce on top. The...

Rating: 3.8 4<br/ Food: <br/ Barramundi: the fish was nice and tender but not mushy. All of the green went well with the fish and the fragrance was just to die for. However, it’s a little oily (probably from the fish? which I don’t really mind in this case. <br/ Dessert (chocolate mousse? : very rich but because it has some sort of fruity components to it, it was still ok to handle. <br/ My family tried a couple of different dishes. They all look really good. I heard that the steak was nice and tender. Generally, not super impressive but because of the atmosphere, everything was really pleasant. <br/ <br/ Price: A little pricy but given the location, the beautiful deco and reasonably quality...

We have been staying at the Rialto for the weekend and went to the Market Lane Bar after an evening at the theatre. It was a great place to go to conclude the evening. Upon arrival staff greeted us and gave us a food and beverage menu. We ordered drinks from the bar and they arrived swiftly. The lighting and seating seating arrangements created a relaxing ambience where we could enjoy time with our family. Later we ordered food which included arancini ball, buffalo wings and fries all with dipping sauces. We were informed about when the bar was closing and the services that would be still available. The staff were attentive and the service impeccable. Thank you !

Had a nice dining experience here recently to try the special Harry Potter multicourse dinner.tbe staff are incredibly professional and food was nicely presented. I did not try the steak main course, although my friend spoke fondly of it. I was, however, quite pleased with my lemon tart topped with a melting chocolate sphere. The composition of this dish was beautiful. If you're staying at the Intercontinental or simply want to check out the hotel's interesting interior, the Alluvial is a good choice. My companion had stayed at the InterContinental years ago and was revisiting, so she was interested to see how the hotel's bars and restaurants were presenting themselves these days. On an early weekday evening the Market Lane Bar was not busy. We were able to make ourselves comfortable in corner seating with pleasant lighting and talk easily without competing with loud music or big boisterous groups. Wait staff were exceptionally attentive. I'd return if wanting to meet up for a quiet drink.

A degustation-styled high tea in the luxurious Alluvial Restaurant, The Clarke Sisters’ High Tea takes place on weekends in the opening dining area of the Intercontinental Hotel of Melbourne, with an array of the finest teas, savoury bites and desserts guaranteed to satisfy the highest of standards. From beginning the end, the food was complemented by impeccable service, and a modern-esque ambiance.

We recently came for afternoon tea and it was a wonderful experience. Service was amazing, food was so delicious and the location is simply stunning. The scones were so light and flaky and buttery, some of the best I have ever eaten. This is a wonderfully indulgent experience well worth the price.

it was located on the FL level. It was very quiet when I came there. The host was friendly , and we ordered grilled salmon fillet and stirloins, chose the medium level for the meat. Ambience was comfy and nice design. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
