This little cafe would have to be one of the best in Adelaide. The service and quality coffee from owner Rob is impeccable and the food served up by chef Brad is top class. The prices are unbelievably low - great value for money. I can absolutely recommend the Eggs Florentine served with delicious Hollandaise sauce like nothing I have ever tasted. The guys are very obliging and make up what you want if it's not exactly what's on the menu. Once you have been to Alter Ego you will go back again and again - and get exactly the same great service and brilliant food. What a fabulous cafe, loved the coffee, loved the food. And the service was exceptional. There's many cafes around But I can't fault this one..... It's brilliant on so many levels. The owner is such an amazing front man...... 10 out of 10.....not only does he remember your name, he goes out of his way to make your dining experience one to remember. Literally stumbled upon this place while walking Goodwood Road, looking for a restaurant to satisfy the dietary needs of a vegan, a Celiac, and 2 Asians who would rather not eat the foods from their homeland when going out for supper. So glad we spotted this place, as the owner and the chef catered entirely to our diverse palettes. The prices were reasonable, and the dinners we chose were delicious, including the special gluten-free calamari dish. Thanks, guys!
The most lovely service I've had in a long time, with brilliant value for money and so many options it was almost overwhelming! Loved that you're able to choose which 2 sides you'd like as well as the bacon and toast. Also, Nutella hot chocolate - why don't more cafes do it?! It was absolutely delicious! This small cafe is amazing. Food exceptional, coffee is great and display cabinet at front is full of delicious treats for afternoon teas or deserts. Rob the owner friendly and so accomodating as is brad the chef both end over backwards to make your experience amazing greAt place across road form the cinema a hidden gem love it here
Awesome set out and anterior! Amazing menu!!! The great selection from the normal menu and then all the specials (that all sound delicious), really made it a hard choice! Quality of the food and coffee is perfect. Staff are lovely :) can't wait to go back!
Such a great little eatery, fantastic food impeccable service. We have been for lunch and brekkie, this is one of our favorite cafes. Local and easy parking, great atmosphere.
