It was a Sunday night. I had been out doing errands all day, and was looking forward to some delicious Bolognese from Amici’s. When I arrived at the restaurant, two girls were perplexed as to where my order was, they could not find it in the register. I called it in, and paid for it over the phone. Also, they could not find that it had been charged to my credit card when it was called in. I asked them to get my order and give it to me so I could leave. They could solve the rest of their issue afterwards. When I got my mail home, I opened it and found a burnt sausage, literally, it was black. and a meatball. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience! This place deserves a 10/10 for being the best Italian restaurant in Shrewsbury. I've only tried the takeout, and it was fantastic. The food was well-packaged, with takeout boxes wrapped in plastic to keep everything hot. The quality of the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!
Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant is small and quite noisy. Our waitress had a somewhat brusque demeanor. They offer a nice selection of wines, and the food we tried—pizza and a Tuscan bean appetizer—was enjoyable. For dinner, we spent around $30–50 per person.
