Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is warm and inviting. NOT your average pizza joint. Drinks had us with a Cidre Fermeir Brut and a glass of house Merlot. Didn't try the Merlot, but the Cider from Christian Bellin was very good. Our dinner started with an entree of foie gras, toast points, black pepper, and onion marmelade. Very decacdant. Melted in my mouth. I had veal scallopini ala marsala with a spaghetti side. This was done well, but could have had more mushrooms for my taste. The pasta was cooked perfect. We both enjoyed our pizzas in Amoretto. Everything was freshly prepared and cooked in front of us. I had spotted the Amoretto on the first day of the holiday and was keen to visit and I must say that I was not disappointed. A lovely 'rustic' and friendly atmosphere with quick and efficient service. We were particularly impressed with the 'creme' based pizzas. I would recommend the ham pizza... Not like the UK (tiny chunks of ham) this one was lined with slices of fresh ham! The other recommendation would be the four cheese with mushroom (with the creme base). Now, I love my pizzas and would just like to say that these were up there with the very best! Thank you Amoretto.
Four of us visited this Italian restaurant as were staying just around the corner and had read previous reviews, the majority of which complemented the overall experience. We were not disappointed, the welcome, service & food were excellent. Between us we tried three different main courses & all agreed that the quality of food & flavours were of a very high standard. A few days later we called in to order a 'take away' pizza, again the service was brilliant & having returned to our apartment a few minutes away, the pizza was still piping hot & extremely good.
This Italian restaurant was right on our doorstep as we were in our motorhome staying at the Aire de camping car in Honfleur. Whilst the outside appearance isn't the best, the welcome, food, service and value were excellent, and if we were staying longer, we would certainly go back. I had the tagliatelli forestier which was substantial and very tasty, my partner had a pizza which she really enjoyed. If you can, remember to leave room for dessert.

I can tell that is is one of the best restaurants in Honfleur. Honfleur is an artistic place and most of the restaurants are over estimated. But, Amoretto is unique. First, of all it is not expensive like the most of the other restaurants nearby. Second, isin the heart of the town, and third everything tastes marvelous.This restaurant won't betray you, the quality and the taste is exactly what he promises.Finally, the hostess was awesome.
A little on the edge of things but easy to find and not overly tourist focused as so many places in Honfleur are. Excellent pizza served with a smile on a pleasant enough terrace. Perhaps due to my poor French, we didn't get anything like the pizza ordered - but I was happy to try something different on this occasion. Recommended.
We were staying on the Aire du Camping car and didn't fancy cooking, so googled take away pizza and Amoretto came up. They even delivered. Three pizza's and 2 frites €43. Pizza was thin and had plenty of toppings on. Well worth a visit.
good points: friendly staff, family business, nice ambiance (indoor and outdoor), nice meals (quantity and taste). Bad points; a bit too expensive in my opinion. that's all
