Great little diner (literally), brings you back to the old times. Nicely themed with 50s style decor. Food portions were generous, especially if you get the double burgers. I had the double mushroom burger, and my wife had the mozza burger. Only a few bucks more than your typical fast food joint, I would call this more of a upscale fast casual. $25 for two full meal combos. They are generous with their curly fries, not so much onion rings though (can't get enough of a good onion ring), still fantastic overall and we would definitely return!Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful at all, as it will help me focus on my future review efforts.
This customer has a bit of a skewed first time experience since the place is under massive rebuild and expansion. So the ambience lacked somewhat given the Juke boxes had been removed and the construction work consumes the building. The are and deluxe burgers are priced the same...good. tThey come on fresh but plain bread buns with just the right amount of condiments to replicate the good old drive in days. Fries are fresh and plentiful. The licorice shake alone is worth a repeat visit. Don't expect gourmet food. Fast food served fast and fresh. Will return when renos are finished.
I love small proprietor-owned and operated places like this. Right at the end of the pedestrian bridge and on the pathway beside the river. We went for a run and stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Both were great. My friend required gluten-free and that was no problem. The owner was very friendly and, with no one else there, we had a great conversation. There are expansion/improvement plans in the works and will be 100% off the grid(solar) and 100% recycling once all the City approvals are in place. All in all, a great friendly little cafe.
Our last visit was before they started huge renovations. The old building had been there a long, long time, and they have recently started to entirely renovate. The food is simple but really good, especially the burgers and fries. Prices are reasonable, service is pretty quick. There can be lineups since it's so popular. I thought it was closed - but the drive thru is still open 11-9(i think?)Double bowness burger and onion rings left me in a plesant food coma! If you love ice cream and shakes they have a great selection!Cant wait until it is fully open again- great staff, awesome burgers!!
This place has been around for a loooong time. They have breakfast prices that reflect that and if you pop in early morning, you will feel the welcoming small town atmosphere. In the summertime, vintage car shows are held here.
Just get my supper at Angel drive in so delicious served with French fries so testy love that place are so generous. I recommend for everyone to try it specialy for ice cream.
