This restaurant is the most authentic Mexican spot in the city. Among the many options available, Anita's stands out as the best. We tried the chicken in red sauce and gorditas, opting for barbacoa, shrimp, steak, tripe, and chorizo. It's hard to pick a favorite because everything was delicious. The salsa options - sweet, mild, and hot - were all fantastic, with the sweet one being a standout. We also ordered sides of beans and rice, which were fried and surprisingly good. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. We highly recommend dining here and will definitely be back, possibly as soon as tomorrow!
If you're looking for the best, this is the place to be. I have dined here multiple times over the past few years. The food is consistently delicious, served in generous portions, and the staff is always friendly. The owner, Eddie, is often present and willing to chat with customers. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Be sure to try the chicken and steak tacos - they're my favorite. You'll be hard-pressed to find a dish that isn't delicious, so go ahead and order a variety of items!
I don't usually like Mexican food, but this place is the bomb. Especially, their fish tacos. I usually buy 4 thinking I will eat 2 and save 2 for later. Well, that's a joke. I end up eating every last one of those bad boys and look for more, lol. So glad to see you are getting more 5 star reviews then bad ones. Some people look for perfection from imperfections. They will always be unhappy and disappointed. Keep doing what you are doing. You have many happy customers.
Do not expect authentic Mexican cuisine. I was mistreated by the name on the NC State Fair and have never really met a local/small business that lacked customer service and benefited from a profit. Actually, I went to her location on the NC State Fair, but I would never spend money here again based on my experience. The best decision I made this day to go to this restaurant.. very friendly staff, the food is authentic Mexican food????? Everyone on my table was very happy with their food. Taste sooo fresh?. Definitely will be back when I return to Greenville.
This is the best Mexican food I have ever tasted! We tried the grilled cactus, burrito with marinated pork, shredded chicken quesadilla, rice and beans. It's definitely worth the trip to visit with Edwin and Janeth.
If you want authentic food without the chain restaurant feel this is it! Everything is fresh and made to order. Tacos and Gorditas are a favorite. Peak times may have a bit of a wait but definitely worth it.

Gorditas were great. Had lunch here and was totally satisfied with the food. The tacos where the bomb. The Gorditas were on point as well. Check them out for lunch when in the area.
