To be fair, take away is never as good as dining in, but Indian is a stalwart take away choice. We ordered a big amount of food, with varying results. The ChickenTikka was really good. Beef Korma was somewhat languid and grey in a limp and tasteless sauce.The Lamb Saag, was lacking in Spinach, but still tasty. The Eggplant and Potato Curry was very good. Sadly, they were all lacking a bit of punch. I don't particularly like VERY hot, but I like a bit of oomph and chilli flavour in Indian...A bit of a whinge about the pappadums; come on, we spend $75 on takeaway and you provide two small crushed pappadums? Not happy Jandra!I would go back, but probably dine in, and fore go the Beef Korma!
Annapurna is an excellent restaurant and the locals know it - by 6:30pm most nights, including week nights, the tables are basically all full. We've never booked ahead, but I think you can if you need to. There are plenty of options on the menu - we particularly like the vegetarian dishes - they are so full of flavour! Aloo Mutter and Aloo Baigan are our favourites. For those talking about the level of spiciness - you can specify to your waiter whether you would like it mild/medium/hot, etc. The service is excellent and very fast, and the prices reasonable.
We are repeat customers and in the past you have received 5 star reviews from us. Last night we ordered several dishes, only one of which was hot 'Rogan Josh'. The rest ordered were meant to be mild. They were All EXTREMELY hot, as in can't even enjoy them hot, and we like spicy food! The kids were pretty disappointed they didn't get their favourite take away. Not fun cooking them dinner on takeaway night either. Thanks so much! Take more care!
We both ordered thalis and they were good value. My three seafood curries were good (one was excellent) and the garlic naan was delicious. Service was nice but the table was quite small and our position in the corner near the toilets wasn't ideal. I'd eat there regularly if I was a local.

Food was acceptable in taste. Would not return as feel the price is expensive for what we received and did not taste better than a quick take away Indian meal. We were disappointed.The waitress was unable to answer basic questions about the menu items which made it difficult to order.
Simply the best Indian food in Tassie!! As a regular Im never disappointed with the food or service. Ive tried most dishes and have been delighted w authentic aromas and flavours. Aloo Baingan always on top of my order!
Meal was good and reasonably priced. Good variety on the menu. My wife doesn't like hot curies, but I do and were were both happy with our selections. Service was quick and staff very helpful.
ordered korma chicken and rogan josh 2 garlic and cheese naan breads, for take away could not fault the meals both myself and my wife were very happy .

Called in here while on holiday with family it was just pot luck but the staff where very friendly,food was excellent,would certainly recommend
Curries were cooked to perfection. Not too spicy, exquisite tastes. Vegetables were not overly cooked. Service with a smile. Very happy.
