Arrived for dinner to be pleasantly surprised that kids eat free Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Went to the counter to order was was greated by the most lovely staff member who was courteous, welcoming and professional. The restaurant was nearly full but we received our garlic pizza within 10 minutes of ordering. The kids meals came next and I was very impressed that the staff had taken the initiative not to serve small children food hot enough to burn them. I travelled to Carlyle Hotel for a meal with my girlfriend and her family for a meal. While I have had solid meals at the Carlyle Hotel, this meal was highly disappointing. The meal took longer than usual to be prepared and while the garlic...bread was brilliant and the seniors meal was a bargain price, my chicken schnitzel was very average and took nearly an hour to make it to the table. The Carlyle Hotel usually provides pretty decent meals however this particular night was different. Hopefully next time the Carlyle is back to its usual standard of food during my next visit.
We were disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We visited for lunch on a Sunday and both ordered steaks. My wife's rump steak was supposed to be cooked medium but was actually rare. My Porterhouse steak was cooked medium rare but was a poor quality cut of meat and some of it was inedible. The salad was good, with a nice plume sauce, but the garlic bread lacked any garlic flavor and seemed to be made with margarine. Additionally, my mushroom sauce was cold. Overall, there were several points of disappointment during our meal.

Ordered the curried scallops. I was served about 7 scallops in a bland watery soup. At the bottom of the bowl was a hard bed of rice, firmly stuck together. Vegetables were bland. The peas appeared to be rehydrated. Kids meal was also bland and overpriced. Customer service was generally friendly, but they refused to doggy bag the children's meal. For the amount they charge, there are much better dining and countermeal options around town. I will not be going back again.

came here to dinner to open them, not book as it was a Sunday night. a good choice for the senior meal with an extra you can add on a dessert or garlic brot. waiting time for ordering and serving was good,...portion size and prices appropriate.
great selection and good prices for a Sunday dinner, had the kalbs parmigiana, which was fantastic for the staff was friendly and the waiting period was a little longer than expected, but overall it was good.
