Just tried the poutine. Oh yeah it really hit the spot. Tried poutine with smoked meat. The gravy is amazing. The fries are excellent. Meat was good. The flavour profile is just perfect.My favourite think I noticed was the temperature of the Gravy. It was extra hot really melts the cheese curds. I like mine melted and stringy, so was a nice plus. I know some poutines people like ‘‘em squeaky the cheese but for me I prefer it more melted.I ordered a regular size . Was a good size , not too full. But I recommend large size for the “ full experience”. I believe the fries are home made? Really good.Tried ice maple twist. Excellent. The owner's Montreal origins added an authentic touch to the whole experience.The gravy was absolutely delightful, with a perfect balance of beef flavor without being overly salty. It was so tasty that I could have easily enjoyed it as a beef soup on its own!The smoked meat sandwich was great. Friends took me here for birthday lunch, since we'd been missing good poutine since a Montreal trip a few years back. I can say this was just as good as any I tried in Montreal, and better than some!The curds were so fresh and firm and squeaky, the gravy was unctuous and savoury, and the fries piping hot and crispy. My wife wanted to try Anny 's for a long time. It was super-disappointing. The fries were greasy, and looked and tasted like they had been cooked in old, cold oil. I had the Big James burger which was one thin patty, half a piece of bacon, tomato and a teaspoon of onions. I actually brought it back to the counter because I couldn 't find the bacon at first. For a burger with big in its name, I would expect something larger than a McDonald 's cheeseburger. None of us finished our meals. The friendly service was the only good thing. Won 't be coming back. Great family run place which serves some delicious poutine. Had the smoked meat poutine and it was excellent with the fries not being too soggy. The toasted hot dog was also really nice.When we went around 7, there was only one person running the whole show, making service a little slow, but they were very friendly, so it's okay.Would definitely come back again.
Hello new comers. This was my first time here and I have to say that it was the closest thing to actual Montreal poutine. I mean the only difference was that we wasn’t in Montreal lol. Staff was super awesome, I believe Anny herself too my order, spoke in French too, that was refreshening.It did not take long to get my order although Is was busy
Nice little spot. Prices for the items make sense. Very Canadian. Maple twist is nice if you're into that. When I visited with my boyfriend, I think there were only 2 people working and they were doing great. It was busy with a lineup but they were efficient. Will probably come back again.
