Delicious food! went here Saturday 11/20/21 about the evening it was not too busy. We then sat in our food, I child, you don't get out as fast as you sit. My fiancée I ordered the Barbaco-Tacos, we didn't know what the Buche-Taco was, so they offered to try it for free, but we insisted on paying for the Tripas-Taco. We also ordered Flautas, Torta de Asada. Everything was so good and tasteful. You also have a salsa bar that you can use BIG PLUS! I had a great experience at this restaurant. The vegan burrito filled with beans, rice, lettuce, avocado, and salsa was delicious, along with the chips and refreshing melon and strawberry agua fresca. The drink was impressive, made from fresh fruit. I noticed there may have been some accidentally vegan candies available as well, but I didn't have a chance to explore further. They also offer homemade popsicles, which I will inquire about next time to see if they are nondairy. The service at this restaurant was very friendly, although only one waitress spoke English. If you don't speak Spanish, you may need to use Google Translate for certain phrases. Although there was no vegan option on the menu, the owner mentioned that a vegan menu will be available soon. They were accommodating and prepared a delicious grilled salad with rice on the side for me. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was welcoming. I paid around $10-12 per person.
What a hidden gem! We ate here last night while in town to visit the caverns. We were looking for a good, local place to eat and this place blew us away. Fresh, delicious, and the lady who helped us was super nice. They have the most delicious aguas frescas they make fresh right in the store. My boyfriend had the best Barbacoa tacos he’s ever had. Delicious pastries too. If you are in Carlsbad this place is a must stop!
Honestly, the best Mexican restaurant in town! Love this place! I ordered a few things from the menu and everything was delicious... from their basic tacos to their Shrimp Ceviche, the Pandulce and the Aguas Frescas! The service was great and the prices were very affordable! I recommend this restaurant as a good Mexican American!
Best Mexican cuisine in town! You don't cost to deliver the best Barbacoa, you need to try. They also serve the best Carne Asada (not the cheap gum like all the others in the city), this is the real thing! You also have breakfast all day. If you have picky children like us, they will whip pancakes for them at any time.
AMAZING Food with even better service! We drove out to get back two days in a row. The chips and Green Dip are good (and free) and the Carnitas Tacos were my Fave. The owner and their family work and check on each of their experience. 10/10, come back!
Extremely friendly service and owner, and the chip dip is amongst the best I’ve ever had. We came twice in two days after visiting the Caverns and exploring the Carlsbad region.
Food is amaizing. Eat your there, you will enjoy it better in the restaurant rather than somewhere else. The staff us nice during the week on weekends it is a different story.
