Not a good visit this time. We had a group of 7 and were seated. After a few minutes, they offered to either move all of us to another location or split the group into two with tables across the walkway from one another. After about 20 minutes (the restaurant wasn't busy) they took our order. Our sampler appetizer arrived but we didn't have any silverware or dishes yet. We sat looking at it for 5 minutes until they brought our cutlery. Dinner came about 45 minutes after we arrived. During that time someone who looked like the manager walked past about 25 times. He was doing loops but not ever asking us if we needed anything. The food was good as usual but the wait and service was not good th...
the food was actually bomb so it was worth the wait but we did have to wait about 30 minutes for our food, we ordered appetizers but it came out the same time as our meal. our waitress did not see us very much ? and when she took our order she stopped midway to tell (her kid? her sibling? to stop playing on her tablet ??? lol but i work in the service industry so no hate to her. the hostess sydney was hot wish she was our waitress.
I ordered my burger cooked medium-rare, but it arrived dry. The burgers were all mixed up, and the server attributed the mistakes to a "new cook." I don't usually leave negative reviews, but my experience wasn't great. I only saw the server once at the end of the meal. Perhaps it was just a one-off issue, but I think I'll try a different location next time.
No utensils are provided unless requested. I specifically asked for no pickles on my sandwich, but they still included them, which completely ruined it. The servers tend to forget things easily when you make requests. The bourbon chicken was overwhelmed with garlic. I'm hoping they don't ask for a tip, but if they do, I'll certainly give one. To go order.....Had to search for workers to get my food.Stood in the Togo area for 15 min without acknowledgment. This applebees service hasn 't changed. Really, this problem starts with the managers. No urgency is any employee demeanor. Looks like people are just going through the motions to earn a living wage.
The food is usually great, so no complaints there, but the service is terrible here. Other Applebees are more welcoming and are more accommodating to its clients. This one clearly doesn’t do that or has a problem with its clients, which is okay, just won’t be coming back here again.
As always I love the food. Sunday afternoon seems to be very busy at this location.(Long Beach) They seemed to be a bit short staffed, other wise our waiter did his best.

The riblets were a little bland on taste but the bbq sauce made up for it.
