At first, we waited a long time (20 minutes) and I went up to remind the hostess that my niece and I were outside. Super server, Guy, showed up and swiftly and kindly took our order and the food arrived amazingly fast. My niece ordered from the children's menu for 12 and under, and we did some of the games on the other side of her paper menu. She enjoyed her chicken tenders, fries and wildberry kid sized smoothie. My plain burger with lettuce tomato and onion was fine, albeit very greasy. The fries seemed tired but edible. Ultimately, I give Guy's impeccable service five stars and the food three stars. We sat outside which added to the experience. My niece enjoyed her special children's menu...
The entire staff seemed unmotivated, and my friend and I waited over five minutes before the hostess finally seated us. She appeared to be more focused on chatting with her manager, who completely ignored us. Even when she made eye contact, she showed no interest in attending to us. The place wasn't busy at all. Only one staff member put in any effort to help us, but I was so frustrated with the service that I decided to leave. It took us 20 minutes just to place our order, and people who arrived after us were served before we were. The overall atmosphere felt lazy and uncomfortable. In comparison, the Applebee's in Elmont provides much better customer service.
The steak was terrible. The waitress didn’t provide any information about the new menu, which led us to order incorrectly. When we asked about the cost of a side salad, she told us it would be $1.99 if we purchased a meal. However, she ended up charging me $6.99, plus an additional dollar for adding onions to the salad, which was not correct. Overall, the food quality was disappointing, and I won’t be returning. On a positive note, the manager was very courteous and did adjust the bill.
Food was good and customer service was even better! Should have taken down our server's name (served us on Friday night; booth seat before bathroom so that he may be recognized for his hard work and great attitude!! Will return.
