Clearly understaffed (only chef). There were wait staff. The waiter was very good and responsive to his customers loudly explaining (so that we could hear) that things were not going well in the kitchen. Our waitress did not check up on us to keep us informed as to when our food would be served. We waited over an hour to get our food. The pork was served cold. The branzino was very good and the duck was mostly tough. All around us people were vocally unhappy with the service. We saw one family leave before their food was served. As we were in the patio, I don't know what was happening indoors. They should not have accepted reservations knowing that they could not accommodate customers approp...
Overall a great experience. The seasonal heirloom tomato/watermelon/burrata salad was excellent as was the escargots. The moules frites was excellent as well with a nice fennel or tarragon flavor-wasn't sure--but the flavor and fragrance were superb. I recommend skipping the sole meuliere--the portion was tiny and I've had much better renditions. The staff was charming and attentive and the ambience very authentic
Server was great. Specifically did not order apps because of time constraints, server said he’d rush order. minutes later still no food. When it finally came of dishes were cold, of those extremely overcooked, extremely undercooked. Multiple tables sent food bad. Wrote the restaurant to discuss and weeks without a response. Very poor experience for a dinner
Waiter was terrific keeping us informed managing expectations. Returning to new normalcy is a challenge. Clearly Aquitaine is working hard to regain their mojo which is a challenge considering all go the moving parts. Dinner was good although not up to the usual Aquitaine experience. Clearly, they were trying as best they could

Great Food. Great Ambience. The menu is diverse enough that anyone can find something that they like. Brunch is amazing at Aquitaine!!
Outdoors is a very pleasant dining venue in the evening. Our waiter was excellent given the limited staffing available
The outside is very nice and if the weather is lovely its a first choice virus or not
