The new owners have brought a fresh energy to this traditional pub, making it feel like a beloved neighborhood spot again. After being closed for nearly a year, the pub had started to lose its charm, so previous reviews from the past few years may not accurately reflect its current state. With regular hours now in place, it's hoped that the pub will once again attract the many walkers, cyclists, and locals who used to frequent it. While food is not currently available, it is reportedly on its way, so patrons can look forward to a complete dining experience in the near future.
This gorgeous, completely refurbished pub is the jewel in the crown of Aberford. Vissited it ages ago under its previous custodians and I have to say, the couple who took it over have waved a magic wand over this place. This is a picture perfect pub, utterly tranquil and cosy, amazing traditional atmosphere with all the homely touches that make a day out magical. We had the best lattes of our lives here also, which is a nice bonus. The staff could not be friendlier, funnier, or more eager to make your visit a great one. Best. Pub. Ever.
The new owners have completely revamped this charming, historic village pub, turning it into a cozy and inviting destination with a fantastic atmosphere. The improvements in decor and investment are evident. The bar staff are friendly and attentive, providing quick service with a smile. It's wonderful to see the Arabian Horse thriving once again after being closed for a year. (Note: Reviews before December 2023 pertain to the previous management and are no longer applicable).
It's great to have the pub back open and warm, but it's disappointing that the wine is being sold at premium prices when it's actually poor quality at 11%. The new landlord and landlady need to address this issue. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Staff smartly presented were very helpful and informative, welcoming atmosphere with roaring fires at each end of the lounge area. Good selection of beers

Just got here after a 30 minute drive and it's closed ... Wish I'd have checked before setting off !!
