Recently tried this restaurant following several recommendations from friends and family and it did not disappoint. Delicious food and excellent service from an adorable family-run restaurant. The moment you walk in the door you feel right at home. The host and head waiter was the son of the owners and showed such a joy and passion for his mother's cooking. We took all his recommendations and were extremely satisfied with our meals. Although this restaurant is definitely in need of a facelift, the food was fantastic and the plating was beautiful. Definitely a must-go restaurant that you'll want to go back to.
This humble family-run restaurant is located in a unattractive strip mall, but the food is quite excellent. This was our first experience with Afghani cuisine, which we found similar to Indian, though the spicing seemed more subtle. We started with both meat (beef) and vegetable (potato) sambosas, mains of lamb tikka kebab and lamb palow, and sides of salad, brown rice and tasty Afghan bread. Everything was simply delicious, the service was extremely friendly and helpful, and prices were reasonable. And as an added bonus, it is BYOB. We'll be back.
My wife and I love this family run restaurant. True it is not the most beautiful place decor wise. Very basic and minimal, but this is a leased location, so any investement improvements must be carefully weighted. What keeps us going back is the food. I always start with a pumpkin appetizer. If you go, you must try this dish. Truly a treat. Then I take the KabulI Palow which in a lamb dish served on a bed of rice with Julianne carrots and raisons. Delicious. Bring your own wine or beer and enjoy this wonderful meal.Well worth a try.
An encore for a Birthday!We have dined at Aryana several times over the years and the experience is always sublime. We were celebratting a grandson's 20th Birthday along with his girlfriend.Dinner comprised all the outstanding appetizers on the menu as our main course and ended with the beautifully prepared backlava and Afghan tea.This family restaurant is unique andnot to be missed for lunch and dinner.Reservations are recommended on weekends and bring you own wine or spirits!

Great little family-owned restaurant. The food was great, the waiter was very pleasant and offered good recommendations. Plenty of food, healthy, different flavors, with a homey feel. We left there quite full!! Would go back every day if I could. Tip: It is better to reserve before going as the place can be fully booked sometimes. Must-haves: eggplant starter, pumpkin starter (as a side dish) and lamb skewer plate.
This restaurant provided us with a great introduction to Afghani food . Everything was delicious and attractively presented . The eggplant and pumpkin appetizers were scrumptious - do try them . Service was friendly , attentive and efficient . The welcome was genuine and the price was right . The lamb with basmati rice and raisins was amazing . Great food and service - you won't be disappointed .
My husband and I went this evening. We both loved everything we had. The service was excellent and the waiter made sure we understood the menu and explained anything we didn't. He also kept coming back to see if we wanted anything. The time abetween our soup and the meal was perfect. We will go back for sure.
First time I was trying afghan food and it was great, the couple ruining the place are great and very helpful, the food is great and the portions are decent, worth a try!!!
