Asian Bistro has unfortunately replaced their traditional menu and service with a confusing online system. Now, you have to use your phone to view the menu and place your order, with no human interaction at all. Instead of enjoying your meal and company, you're stuck scrolling through pictures of dishes, trying to decide if they look appealing while the staff won’t answer any questions. On top of that, you have to enter all your personal details—name, address, email, phone number, and even extra information—plus your credit card info just to order. No more service, no human contact, now you're with your date stuck on your phone trying to figure out from the dishes' pictures if that is what you like (the waitress won t answer questions). Asian Bistro offers excellent Asian cuisine right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, which was a pleasant surprise for me as a Japanese. I ordered the Eel Lover, a combination of eel nigiri and eel avocado roll. Initially, the sushi came with too much sauce on top, but after mentioning it to the waitress, they kindly replaced it with a version without sauce. My children had the nabeyaki udon, which was outstanding. The dish featured udon in soup topped with chicken, sautéed vegetables, a fried egg, and shrimp tempura.
I ordered pork lo mein from here and got it delivered. The pork tasted great but I had to add a lot of soy sauce (my own they didn't provide any) for the rest of the meal to have any flavor. Overall it was ok but not great.

my sesame chicken was drowned in extremely sweet sauce. not my thing, but I'm sure someone else likes it. the inside of the restaurant is very clean and beautifully furnished. my food was always ready in just 10 minutes.
Earlier I had given this place very good reviews, but the quality of the food is getting worse. Burned/ overcooked also fried in oil that was used many many times, has a bad taste.
Come eat sushi with friends. Let me tell you that every bite is delicious. I was impressed with how fresh it was. I really like it.
I had a sushi, tom yum, pad thai and drunk spicy noodles. THEY’RE VERY DELICIOUS! This is so well cooked. I will come back again!
