I recently attended a Christmas party-style lunch with entertainment at this restaurant. There were lots of coach parties and people eager to have a good time. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food - it was cheap, barely warm, and tasteless, especially considering the high price of £40 per person. Most of the patrons were senior citizens who felt like they were being taken advantage of. We stayed here after my daughter bought us a BuyaGift voucher with Overnight stay and 3 coarse dinner for two. For starters my wife had the soup of the day and I had the King prawn skewers which we both really enjoyed. For our mains my wife had the Gainsborough Burger, which came with thick chips salad and relish, I had the 10oz Gammon Steak, with thick cut chips, peas and two eggs. For dessert I had Coconut Panna Cotta, which was very good, my wife had the White Chocolate Ceme Brûlée which she said was the best she has ever had. The food arrived quickly and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The Sunday brunch at this restaurant was delicious, but the staff seemed busy preparing for the next meal which made us feel uncomfortable and like we were in the way. Breakfast was also similar, as we had to ask for bread for toast and many items on the buffet were in short supply and being put away. Despite not being late for breakfast, we felt like we were in the staff's way. However, the staff were friendly and happily provided us with what we asked for. Overall, we enjoyed the food but felt like we were constantly in the way.
excellent food and service lots of choice, very relaxed atmosphere and spotlessly clean. we went for easter lunch you could have beef and turkey, brocoli. cabbage, carrots, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, stuffing and yourkshire puddings, all piping hot defo reccomend

We found the food experience to be fantastic. Excellent quality produce. Generous portions and everything at just the right temperature. Staff deferential and friendly. We really enjoyed the whole experience.
The restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes and the service is excellent with a friendly attitude. We would definitely return when we are in town again.

food not outstanding but good service excellent we where told that we needed to book but on reflection there was only 10- 18 diners on Saturday
had a good evening meal and buffet breakfast which was so lovely. staff were friendly and polite service was reasonable.
