Great location and ambiance (good live music and place was buzzing good food and drink choice- Reason for 1-Star Rating was due to the service we received on Saturday evening. We reached the location and got a table in few minutes. ordered few drinks and appetizers right away. Out of the 2 appetizers, we received the fries within 10 minutes. But the cinnamon bites took longer. I asked about it after 45 minutes and the waitress at the bar told me that they are backed up quite a bit and have 3 cooks for ~75 orders and it should be ready in few more minutes. I wasn't sure if I was going to have an opportunity to get to try anything as the location near the river kept having private events. I was told this was the best beer in Detroit, so I was getting bummed. Then I stumbled on this location on accident. First, way more interesting venue, a former church converted into a brewery. Then the people were absolutely amazing, willing to let us order despite closing in 10 minutes and suggesting a number of tasters to ensure we got the spectrum of flavors. If you like beer, check out this location, a bit away from the center of Detroit, but very much worth it.
Called Atwater at 10:59 exactly. The women who answered the phone was extremely rude and said that they don’t open until 11am. I politely said it will be 11am in less then 60 seconds if she just wanted to take the order then start it at 11 or whenever! She blatantly hung up on me. Terrible service. Bought me and the co-workers lunch somewhere else after the women on the phone didn’t want our money. Bad business right there.

Went as a wedding guest and had a great time! Food, drinks and service was amazing. Many of the guests, including myself, commented on how beautiful the venue was as well. I would happily return!
Amazzzing... Love it. Drinks are awesome. Food is hands down the best for a brewery. Staff is so friendly. Outside seating is spacious, love the fresh air as well.
