We went without a reservation but with fingers crossed to Au bistrot de la halle for our last night on holiday. We have had some really good meals so the bar was set quite high. We looked online at about 40 restaurants in a 30min drive radius and settled on this one. The outside has a sweet little terrace and the inside looks a bit like an office (with interesting art and square ceiling tiles) however we only noticed it as we were some of the first to arrive. Once the place filled, which it did quickly, there was a nice atmosphere. The menu had something for everyone. We had burrata, entrecote steak, truffle pasta, the kids had chicken and we all had way too much dessert! The food was excell...
Super welcome from the boss and the staff. cocktails of very good quality and with quantity. Lamb ribs and beef tartre with a very tasted knife. desserts are in the same line as wine. the boss works to put quality in his products and regularly goes to his customers. a shame that we are not from the region. The premises are lucky. making our merchants live so bad to satisfy their customers.
Face aux Halles de Souillac, la déco est simpliste et sans âme avec plafond suspendu en dalles, dommage pour un quartier historique. L'accueil et le service sont parfait. Nous avions pris les coquillettes aux truffes, c'est bon mais avec trois rondelles extra fines de truffes ça fait cher l'assiette : 23€ !!! L'assiette de fromage et le café gourmand rien à dire

On a beautiful and hot April day we stumbled onto this calm establishment that offered the grilled food we were looking for. Only concern is that the T-Bone is pork and not beef? That wasn't specified on the menu and it's not really what we expected
A last minute evening meal... They welcomed us with pleasure and the meal was very good. Good little address in Souillac with fresh produce in a friendly setting. Thank you and we look forward to coming back home.
Brilliant food. Table for 6 without reservation wasn't a problem. You can sit outside in the square which was nice. Highly recommended duck confit!
