We stopped at this bakery about two weeks ago for some bread and pastries for a picnic lunch. Both were delicious. However, unknown to us, we dropped our document portfolio from the campervan as we loaded our lunch. It held most of our important papers and all our holiday cash!. We only discovered the loss two days later. We then realised that the boulanger, Bruno, had discovered in the papers the French mobile number of our friends in the South of France and he had left a message. Without a doubt the best bakery in Souillac. I love the chocolate torsades, the wonderful baguettes and the very tasty fig & walnut loaf.I have always found the staff extremely helpful and most accommodating when we stop to have a cup of tea and a cake in the shop. I practice my French and they help with my pronunciation and accent. The owners, who are husband and wife, have always been so pleased to see us on our annual or twice yearly visit to Souillac Country Club.I am counting down the days until I return there again in September. You know a baker is good when lorries passing throught the town nearly block the road the stop and buy bread and things here. A large choice of many old and new breads and pastries to choose from. You can see them making the bread - and there is fresh bread being baked all through the day. There is also a good selection of tarts and sandwiches too....
Whenever possible, this is where we buy our bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, tarts. Many kinds of bread, from classic baguettes and pain de campagne to tourtes de meule, pain aux noix, pain aux céréales and pain aux figues et abricots, all of them freshly baked and delicious. Only complaint is that they're not open on Sunday!

Great coffee. Beautiful fresh bread daily and cakes Yum. But no GF items. Parking outside and cars come and go very quickly. No parking? Wait a few minutes and a space will be free. Needs an update on their outside table area but we were there early in the season. Good service but little English. Just point and pay!
Really nice bakery that we chanced upon as we were leaving Souillac. The pies look divine, but we had a sweet brioche loaf that was still war. Delicious.
I send all my renters to this bakery! Delicious ! Use of locally milled flours , some organic. I am drooling thinking about going there!
