All our favourite restaurants are closed on Saturdays in winter so we thought we'd try this one. It only opened in August and it wasn't busy, but it should be. We went on the strength of the previous recommendation and we weren't disappointed. The owner was delightful (and spoke to us in English and French) and worked really hard to make sure we enjoyed our meal. There was a good choice of starters, main courses and puddings on the men du jour, which was 12.50 euros and superb value. The food was simple, good sized portions and delicious. We've been in this restaurant a little bit by accident and it was an excellent choice. The food is cooked like at home with fresh products, simple but efficient and tasty.We were a group of 12 people and although the chef was alone, he did manage everything, cooking, service... without a glitch and in a relatively timely manner. Impressed. With a full menu (starter, main course and dessert) at 12.5€, it is outstanding.I definitely recommend this place, a great value, for sure
We found this restaurant completely by accident - what luck! The food was excellent, all home cooked to order, served with great friendliness by the owner, and the price performance is outstanding. The previous night we had been "fine dining" in Laguiole - but Au Gout du Jour offered something just as good, in its own way.

A complete menu with store for 15 euros with home from the entrance to the dessert. A real delight for a price more than honest. I highly recommend!
Traditional quality restaurant. Everything is cooked home. The dishes are tasty and varied. The welcome is warm. I highly recommend it!
