One of our happy discoveries in our month in France, this restaurant, on the Rue de Mars across from the Halles Boulingrin, had friendly, attentive service and good food at reasonable prices. At dinner one night, we had their standard menu at 28 euros with faux-filet steak and brandade (fish), with interesting starters and desserts. Another night we had the menu at 50 euros. They know their champagne producers in the vicinity! We liked their Blanc de blancs from Sadi Malot (half bottle for 40 euros). The second night we enjoyed the Deutz classic brut at 40 euros. Non descript from the outside. Nicely designed with typical minimalist but elegant design on the inside. Lovely food experience. We had the Comptoir menu, and 1 serving of the trio of cheeses. Lovely food. Fish menu was very delicate, with a gourmet touch and impeccable attention to detail. Cheeses super yummy. Absolutely to die for and a huge 5 star to the chef and the team! Good value for money.
We found this place on here during a weekend break. The ambience and decor are lovely spacious and bright. The staff were super helpful but not overly intrusive. The food was totally delicious and we had a couple of glasses of Mumm champagne which was reasonably priced. Overall a delicious meal and very reasonably priced for such high quality. I’d come back again tomorrow if I could.
Fabulous food. Casual, local, but attention to every detail. Simply lovely experience. Three course lunch was excellent at every course. Some had pate, some had pumpkin soup, some had salad with goat cheese. All wonderful. Entrees and desserts equally delicious. Wonderful service.
