If you are anywhere near Bordeaux, this bakery is worth a visit. The wood fired oven is from the 1700's. The bakery provides bread for many of the restaurants in downtown, including an old-style "pain du garçon" which has a massively thick crust and incredible flavor. It's mean't to last a week! The bakery also makes classic baguettes, croissant and has expanded to a wider variety of baked goods in recent years.Interesting, they have a single table where you can enjoy a breakfast or lunch. They have freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee hot chocolate. You are literally surrounded with baked goods and bread so you can just point a something that looks delicious and it will be brought to you....
